FAQ

How much does it cost to automate a pool?

Arrow icon

The cost of pool automation systems depends on different factors. Generally speaking, a pool automation system is less expensive than other facets of owning and operating a pool. Most systems cost $1,800-$4,000 on average, with some costing more and some costing less.

Is pool automation necessary?

Arrow icon

While pool automation isn’t a necessity, it is a luxury that many pool owners have come to love and appreciate. Since you have already gone through the work of putting in a pool, opting for automation is an added benefit that can help you enjoy your pool experience that much more. Many of our customers wish they would’ve opted for automation sooner!

Can you add pool automation later?

Arrow icon

Yes! Even if your pool has already been installed, you can opt to add in automation after the fact. Whether your pool was installed 5 months ago or 5 years ago, you can add automation.

Is it better to run a pool pump at night or day?

Arrow icon

You may be tempted to run your pool pump at night because it is cheaper. In reality, it is best to run it at least one hour per day per 10 degrees of temperature during the day (during the hottest part of the day). We only recommend running it at night when you are doing a major chemical treatment such as cleaning algae.
